Details of the physical and digital formats available for each recording are listed on their individual product pages. Located in the drop down menu directly below the product price.

CD
The majority of our recordings are available as Hybrid SACDs. These discs are compatible with all standard CD players and work as any normal CD does. However, some of our releases are available as standard CDs only. You can find more information on each product format by clicking on the 'details tab, which you'll find on individual product pages.

SACD Hybrid
The majority of our audio recordings are available as Hybrid SACDs. Hybrid SACD combines an SACD layer, which contains HD stereo and multi-channel audio, with the convenience of a CD layer. These discs are compatible with all SACD and CD players.

Pure Audio Blu-ray
Pure Audio Blu-ray is an exciting new format which is set to revolutionise the way we see and hear music. LSO Live is one of the lead partners in the development of this format, which will allow millions of homes to experience HD content, audio and visual, on any Blu-ray player – from PlayStations to high-end equipment.

Blu-ray + DVD
Our concert films are available as 'double play' Blu-ray + DVD sets. These products include a Blu-ray and a DVD copy of the same product, allowing you to enjoy no matter what playback equipment you have. For more information on these products, click the 'details' tab on the individual product pages.

FLAC
Our lossless FLAC Studio Master downloads allow the listener to hear a recording exactly the way the original artist and producer intended it to sound, before any additional processing or compression is applied.

All our FLAC downloads are available at a bit depth of 24, with the majority available at 24bit 96kHZ.

MP3
All our MP3 products are available in 320kbps.

DSD
Direct-Stream Digital (DSD) is a trademark name used by Sony and Philips for their system of digitally recreating audible signals for the Super Audio CD (SACD).

DSD uses pulse-density modulation encoding—a technology to store audio signals on digital storage media that are used for the SACD. The signal is stored as delta-sigma modulated digital audio; a sequence of single-bit values at a sampling rate of 2.8224 MHz (64 times the CD Audio sampling rate of 44.1 kHz, but only at 1 ⁄ 32768 of its 16-bit resolution). DSD can be recorded in Standard Rate (2.8 MHz or 64fs), Double DSD (5.6 MHz or 128fs) and Quad DSD (11.2 MHz or 256fs).

A large selection of LSO Live titles are available through our partner, Native DSD. For more information about DSD downloads, how to play them and where to buy them, click here
